Yesterday, Austin Jenkins, public radio's man at the Washington capitol and Crosscut's Olympia Journal blogger, reported on interviewing House Speaker Frank Chopp in light of criticism by Sen. Brian Weinstein, D-Mercer Island, who likened Chopp to a dictator. Austin said he was working on a report for radio, and here it is – a great account of the sniping and the real issue behind it.
