what i find objectionable is gonzales having been graced with the complimentary title "consiglieri"... a mafia bosses "c" man was smart. gonzales character more fits that of a mexican sycophant, as befifts a border state
immigrant. bush's "c" man is a combination of rove and cheney, the one makes promises, the second is in control of someone who is entirely out of his depth.
fromkin in the washington post had an excellent list of takes on the gonzales testimony.
wouldnt it be somethin to see this whole bunch of gangsters disintegrate into free fall and for anarchy to rein.
let anarchy rein
let anarchy ring!

Sad...: ...that the transcript seemed plausible for way too long, which sez something about Gonzales, but also about me...

When Bush cuts off his head to spite his body, (i.e., vetos the Iraq spending bill) we'll see some disintegrating deconstruction of the entire war effort. Unfortunately, with a half trillion dollar defense budget, chances are that he can shift funds to keep the war going until the end of his presidency. By the end, it should be be like Nebuchadnezzar going crazy and eating grass in the field.
