Analysis of the contributions to date of leading presidential candidates shows two surprise leaders in the Northwest, John Edwards on the Democratic side and Mitt Romney among the Republicans. Another surprise: Barack Obama is outraising Hillary Clinton by healthy margins. Compared with the Bay Area, Northwest donors are not exactly giving until it hurts.
