Sigh...: When I read the title of this post, I started mentally composing an impassioned response about why the fight must continue. After watching the video, I can only muster up the disappointed sigh familiar to anyone who follows Seattle politics.

Your analysis of the politics is sadly correct. (The line about the council maintaining its virginity was great.) And you are right, the lawsuits are hopeless.

The only thing that rung false in the video is your suggestion that the Storm, Sounders, and college basketball should be considered sufficient consolation for the loss of our NBA team. I don't think that's true from a financial or political perspective, and I know it's not true from the perspective of a long time Sonics fan.
