She's Charlotte Gainsbourg, France's most famous daughter, not yet 30, acclaimed in her own right as an actress and singer, making her first visit to Seattle to promote her new album, IRM. (That's MRI in French.) Gainsbourg suffered a cerebral hemorhage following a waterskiing accident; a case of life handing her lemons, so she made limoncello. The album's producer was none other than Beck.

Tuesday (April 13 ) she took questions from francophiles at the Alliance Française in Wallingford (photo), Wednesday night (April 14), she appears at the Crocodile Cafe in Belltown.
