Green Acre Radio: Food activist discusses his new book

(Editor's Note: This is our first presentation of Green Acre Radio, an audio report on environmental issues by Martha Baskin that is regularly heard on KBCS and Jack Straw Productions.)

This week on Green Acres Radio we look at the rapidly growing alternative food system and talk to author Mark Winne about his new book on the topic, Food Rebels, Guerrilla Gardeners and Smart-Cookin’Mamas: Fighting Back In An Age of Industrial Agriculture.

Martha Baskin is an environmental reporter, whose work on the subject began with a project for the King Conservation District. Green Acre Radio was born shortly afterward. Her work is currently supported by the Human Links Foundation. She was one of the founding reporters for Pacifica's Free Speech Radio News and has been a contributor to the National Radio Project's Making Contact.
