Last day for Crosscut's Spring Membership drive

It's going to be a stretch to meet our goal for this drive, so please donate generously if you can.

Crosscut's new model for local online journalism is nonprofit and member-supported. Memberships start at $35 a year and there are tiered benefits at higher levels. It's easy to join online, and I hope you will do so. We can't produce this kind of in-depth, open-minded news and analysis without your support.

We have always met our goals in these drives — thank you all very much. I'm adding one extra day to the drive, today, in hopes that we will do so again. We have $3,500 to go, so please be generous. Members are the most important means of support we have, and an important indicator to other contributors such as foundations. Donations are tax-deductible.

Crosscut is a nonprofit organization driven by a community mission, not by commercial considerations. Crosscut Public Media exists "to produce, find, and amplify the best journalism in the region each day," and to be a neutral forum for thoughtful commentary that moves readers and actors toward constructive solutions. We also fill niches, such as arts coverage, that are being jettisoned as mainstream media run out of advertising to support such topics.
