Perhaps I can add a bit of context to Larry's quote. I believe he was referencing the boom of the music scene in various neighborhoods in Seattle such as Ballard, Capitol Hill and Belltown when he mentioned Columbia City is a virtually unchanged area. Over teh past decade or so ...

It wouldn't surprise me if there eventually is a new Green River record. The Pearl Jam guys have been pretty active with their side projects and former bands (Brad, Flight to Mars, Soundgarden, Deranged Diction etc.) and I saw the Green River guys a few times live back in 2008 ...

This show was in the works for more than a month. No mention was made of the Chile quake Sunday night, but it wouldn't surprise me if the local music community started having benefits in the near future since there were dozens of club concerts to support Haiti.
