For Beltre, as for many other former M's who are peppered throughtout the playoffs this year, Safeco and Seattle was not a good environment for them to play to their potientials. He playsed better than most of the other former M's, and he played through a lot of pain. Many ...

I was visiting LA in May, and was acosted (that actually what they do), by these people in a lot of places. They don't take NO for an answer, right up to the point of harrasment, knowing exactly how far they can go without fully crossing the line. The Dominic ...

It's interesting that Mr. Gering is trying to assoicate the tunnel with commerce, when there will actually be worse traffic problems affecting that same traffic flow with a DBT, than with ST5. In fact, there are/will be dedicated freight corridors for the Port that can/will avoid most tunnel traffic spillover, ...

In response to Mr. Brewster's FEIS comments: Yes, SOME of it is worse case scenario. I'm not inclined to be an optimist in the face of all the other risk and financial factors as well, when other better, cheaper, and more flexible options exist. It's never too late to cancel ...

Re: A Retrofit. I was my understanding that when they did the shoring up after the 2001 quake, they did a very through job of analyzing the AWV's condition. Engineering professionals determined that the concrete is weakening at the molecular level, and a retrofit would be completely inadequate to just ...

Admirable attempt to outline the tactics and timeline. Mr. Brewster has forgotten that the Stakeholders actually recommended the ST5 option. And there is no transit in the package for the DBT when finished, if ever. Neither are these parks funded. It's all empty promises with nothing to back them up. ...

Perhaps, Mr. Brewster, if "governance" was more interested in what is in the best interests of ALL the citizens they represent, there would be little need to vote down bad and irresponsible decisions by "stakeholders." The Surface + Transit plan was never put up for any vote, advisory or otherwise, ...

What people seem to deliberately overlook, is that the DBT will NOT provide for that commercial traffic one iota. In fact, it will make it LESS friendly, and will increase congestion, despite the attempts at mitigation on the table. The other thing overlooked is the surface + transit plan provides ...

Gee, just when I thought it could not get lower than the state Rep. who did not write that clause doing a poor imiitation of saying red is blue, and Conlin making an absolute fool of himself, Godden comes out with this. The hits just keep on coming. Next up, ...

mush heads: "...Then there's Hillary Clinton, who somehow looks even better than she did in the White House years...." Uh, huh. Then I guess the comment above was tongue in cheek too. Seems some people have taken too many lethargic pills to know the difference. Get a clue, take the ...

RE: Whose the Phony?: Complete agreement. Contrast to the Obama piece written by the BO local coordinator's WIFE on the same day. Casey, you confirm often why you cannot play with the big boys anymore, and why you could not get elected to animal control (formerly dog catcher). No wonder ...
