Lots of promises, little action: Our politicians talk all the time about combating global warming. Mayor Nickels, Executive Sims, and Governor Gregoire have all pledged to reduce carbon emissions in the coming decades. But the reality is you just can't do it if we keep building highways, and this sightline ...

Keeping quiet: If she didn't know that he had misgivings, why did Gregoire get Sims to promise that he wouldn't publicly oppose this? Doesn't make sense unless Gregoire knew Sims didn't like it and wanted him to keep quiet.
