Perhaps. I wonder about turning a newspaper into an online magazine. Breaking news, local sports, weather. They all get clicks. So, too, do longer stories, projects and the so-called serious journalism. People stop by a site a couple of times a day to see what's new. The medium allows itself ...

What about advertising? Does the Web site have advertising? Enough to support it costs? Is it growing? Or does the printed paper support the online paper? Scott Sunde

It’s certainly true that newspapers disdained digital media for too long. Perhaps until it was too late. And there is a huge transition going on. We are waiting for some sort of media equilibrium, especially a way that online advertising can foot the bill. I’ve worked for four daily newspapers ...
