Not sure if BlueLight was serious, but its a pretty good bet that "immigration" into our region isn't the "number one" threat to PNW salmon. This is one of the dumbest, most illogical and inflammatory pieces of "journalism" I've read in a while. I suppose that's why I'm not a subscriber to Foreign Policy. Keep it up...its fascinating to gain insights into what the ill-informed seem to believe (assuming that's the case).

Environmentalist concerns about the US supplying coal to China (or any other country) miss a simple reality: if we don't supply it, someone else certainly will. Australia, for one, is already a dominant player in this commerce.
