That $40 million comes directly out of the pocket of Washington state taxpayers. So let's have a public discussion about whether we want to fund MOHAI at that level. I'm not saying we don't. I'm just saying we want our elected representatives to discuss the merits. It's not a lottery ...

If you want a nice quiet residential neighborhood, what are you doing in Belltown? It's been douchebag central for at least a decade. Do people not know this when they move in? A bit of research on the character of a neighborhood might be wise before one moves there.
