If I understand correctly, it is expected up to 9 full trains and 9 empty trains would be added per day, at potential maximum full buildout some years down the road correct? But will potential maximum buildout ever occur, especially as more coal ports are developed elsewhere in Canada, US, ...

There are viable alternatives to shipping coal through Northwest ports. Looking at a map, it appears that shipping by train via new ports in Southern California or Mexico would only be a couple of hundred miles longer ... the transportation cost difference would be insignificant. And Canadian ports already accept ...

Where is the funding for additional passenger trains going to come from?Given the nation's and state's budgets and economies and politics, there isn't even a vague hope that it will come from there ... there are more urgent needs for expenditures. But things like the Bellingham coal port would help ...

Let's end this interminable dithering. Build the tunnel ... or ... put forward an election that offers a true comparison where all the options are put one ballot for voters to select *one* that they prefer. The options? (a) tunnel, (b) rebuild the viaduct, (c) ST5. I'll bet the end ...

What budget(s) is the secured portion from: from Seattle, or the State, or??? Any of it from the viaduct replacement ...
