This is gold mining. Is anyone surprised that Carmack would be characterized as an egotistical liar? In fact if he wasn't, I would question the accuracy of the story! Skolnik's comments about Carmack's character only buttress his historical relevance. His other points? We'll let the LPB deliberate on those.

I agree with the other posters -- evolution and God as the source of the beginning of existence are not mutually exclusive concepts. In fact, I find the companion of them quite logical. Conversely, how does an athiest evolutionist explain where the molecules for the Big Bang came from? If ...

These are all very good comments and observations, but I have some skepticism of the conclusion that tax law or some of these other "tools" are ruining the old timber business. Perhaps I'm being too "guns don't kill people...", but it seems to me that principles are needed through our ...

The question of funding this improvement is quite logical in that it reflects a lack of public understanding of the business of the Market. How are rents established? Are they fare? Are they essentially established by the tenants? If so, I doubt that they are "fair and balanced." The last ...

RE: Lainie and Piper,: Word, Piper. We all know that doctors work with patients through the dying process and judgements are made. But as a matter of public policy, assisted suicide is overly dangerous. We fear this law for the same reason this state has always feared the state income ...

RE: Palin????: Dear Mr. BC Coggins: I posted a largely pro-Palin comment that only deviates in that I acknowledge not knowing how she concluded to run for VP in light of her daughter's preganancy (by the way, I bet < 100 people truly KNOW how she marched through that decision), ...

Is Kilkenny telling the truth? Is there truth?: I'm flabergasted at the back and forth comments of (paraphrasing) "Anne's lying" and "She's a brave woman by telling the truth." Anne is providing one person's opinion. Even when someone is telling "the truth", it is colored by their perceptions, at minimum. ...

RE: Palin????: Ranger Dave, nobody should argue with your thought that Palin's daughter has to shoulder responsibility. And fortunately the Palin family is there to support her. However, gogogranny appropriately points out that the girl didn't need to have her personal life highlighted in front of 300 million people IF ...
