I worked in the P.I. Pressroom from 1961 until 1983. Lots of great stories came from the "Stein" or from the "Pressroom" at Danny's 4th and Wall. Collins, et al were very entertaining. Another great character was Ralph Rumlin, make-up editor. If you met him on the street you would ...

Good piece: I first read Godden in 1961, when I worked for the Seattle PI. This is a good piece and I miss her weekly writing.. The Seattle City Council is sooo boring.

My feelings, to a word: I read Al Roker's blog and the one by Gene Robinson in the Post. This is a much better take on the situation. Imus is an idiot, he always has been. Thanks, Greg, I enjoyed this piece.

Puff Piece: Not having read this before, I enjoyed the opinion of a newbie to downtown Seattle. You could not drag me back to Seattle with a tractor, it is still good to read about. I thinks Crosscut will be a good resource. Thanks
