Don't forget Steve Largent: Largent almost makes up for all the badd juju from Oklahoma. Tulsa Oklahoma right? He was the Seahawks star during the 80's. HE SET NFL RECORDS DURING THE 80's PLAYING FOR THE HAWKS!!!! That is amazing. Imagine if he played for the 49'ers.... But then he ...

Prisoner's Dilemma: For any potential ELF members, your "friends" will rat you out to stay out of any real trouble. Lots of important people have been to jail, King, Ghandi, and Thoreau used unjust imprisonment to expose injustice and immoral decisions from the powers-that-be. Pretty difficult to put Ms. Waters ...

Congestion Tolling: They should have a toll on the Mercer ramps, getting onto I-5 and going into Seattle. It is ridiculous to think that anything short of fewer cars will have a lasting impact. The Mercer exit backs up traffic past 520 sometimes, and I don't really drive in Seattle ...

Choices: I feel somewhat conflicted about the argument being presented here. Mothers and Fathers both have the right already to spend Family Leave primarily for births and deaths. The problem is that no one can really afford to take 5 weeks off. The feminist mantra had always been that women ...

RE: Political Future: FUNNY!!! How about you just chase my basketball team out of the city instead? Oh snap!!! you already did that. I don't even live in Seattle, I used to live in West Seattle, Nickels neighborhood actually. ;) He's already unpopular in his own backyard (thanks mostly to ...

Political Future: I didn't realize that Nickels had a political future within the city of Seattle let alone a future that has him taking statewide office. I wish that Seattle would get off of the high horse and realize that the problems that they have are their own creation. Ever ...

Don't forget the ferries: Washington State Ferries (and transportation in general) have been in a sorry state. Having several boats pulled off of runs due to safety concerns rings of "incompetence." You don't miss your water til the well runs dry, and the ferries are a similar such necessity in ...

Only in Seattle: Drew Carey is more of a libertarian than a Republican. I don't see a problem. I know Matt Hasselbeck and Mack Strong both went to the President's fundraiser this year and no one seems to really care.

Memorial Satdium "problem": Isn't the problem that the School District owns that piece of property? I think that most people forget how big of a player the school district is going to be in the vision for Seattle Center. I'd still like to see the Sounders playing there, maybe in ...

RE: $15 million?: What's a mail team? They sound dangerous, like they carry guns to work.

The PI: I am a bit of a junkie, I'll admit it. Here I am opening this story after pulling it off Google reader. and commenting. So sad. But I do like the PI because of the Soundoff feature where you can post comments. The blogs on the Kitsap Sun ...

RE: $15 million?: Connecticut has a team, barely, they have been on the brink of financial ruin ever since Mohegan Sun opened a *GASP* new arena for the team. The Storm may have a better chance of being profitable in the KeyArena, mostly because they don't have to pay anywhere ...

$15 million?: I like the idea, but it would cost a lot more than $15 million. I think that they were sold for $350 million. Schultz purchased the team for $200 million, that was only in 2001. DON"T BUY STARBUCKS!!! And we would still need a new arena, or a ...

They should do this for ferries: They have unused space on the late night runs, I don't know why they don't charge a rush hour surcharge to help lighten some of the peak loads and spread out the usage more efficiently. There are a lot of discretionary trips on the ...

Bring: I love the idea of building a soccer-specific stadium in Seattle at Memorial Field. I don't know if the support is there, but MLS would draw a larger crowd than the Sounders 4,000 average attendence. People pay to see star power, the MLS has it and the Sounders don't. ...
