I agree with alexjon - we shouldn't pump billions into just maintaining a 1950s status quo. Let's make the streets safer for everyone (with signals, crosswalks etc.) and improve transit when we go back and fix the street. Crosscut, i would love to see a rebuttal from Charley Royer, who ...

"Many in Seattle miss or minimize these points because they are so stuck in the cars vs. bike, road vs. transit debates." It's funny because Dave Gering is one of the biggest instigators in those debates.

Jordan - "Apparently, Bridging the Gap is insufficient" is a vast understatement. With all of the revenues down, SDOT is facing a huge shortfall and may need to cut 70 employees. Even Bridging the Gap is a band-aid; realistically, we are only treading water on arterial streets and have very ...

Crossrip, great job! I was thinking of doing the same thing but I couldn't figure out whether the statement, "There will be no cost overruns" best fits in simplicity, repetition, assertion, The Big Lie, or ignoring/discrediting conflicting evidence. Jean, I think you're a genuine public servant but on this project ...
