The Archbishop urges us to "call, email or write" our legislators about the same-sex marriage issue. Fair enough...but, how does one respond to the Archbishop directly? Knute...your excellent piece reminds me that back in 1974, when the esteemed National Bank of Commerce changed its name to Rainier National Bank, one of our comedic legislators introduced a prank resolution, seeking to change the name of Mount Rainier to Mount National Bank of Commerce.

Rossi's early strategy of criticizing Murray for bringing home "pork" doomed him. Although he carefully avoided that tactic almost immediately after he launched it, he had already frightened off too many voters (including business-type Republicans) who were worried he might mean it.

Wednesday, I had an excellent burger at FATBURGER (change the name!) in South King County. Lots of great toppings, freshly pattied meat, good fries. A little pricey, but not outrageous.
