Peter Callaghan of the Tacoma News-Tribune is reporting a clean sweep for Barack Obama in Garfield County, where he took 100 percent of the caucus vote and received the county's lone delegate. Garfield, in southeastern Washington, is the state's least populous county at 2,350 souls. There are even even fewer Democrats.

I haven't been able to get the actual number of people who showed up at the county's caucuses. It had to be small. The state Democratic party Web site lists Garfield as one of only two Washington counties that have neither a county party chair or co-chair (neighboring Asotin county is the other). I called Mike Tom, editor of Garfield's newspaper, the East Washingtonian in Pomeroy. He didn't have any information on turnout, but when I asked him if there were many Democrats in Garfield County, he replied, "This is definitely a Red county. Maybe all five showed up and voted for Obama."
