Crosscut Courage Awards 2017: Building Bridges and Common Ground

October 12, 2017 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am

Rolling Stone contributing editor and National Magazine Award-winning columnist Matt Taibbi is keynoting the 5th annual Crosscut Courage Awards. Taibbi is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Insane Clown President, The Divide, Griftopia, and The Great Derangement. In his forthcoming book I Can’t Breathe: A Killing on Bay Street, he trains his sights on the U.S. police system.

The Courage Awards provide a unique opportunity to connect with a network of Northwest public media supporters working to make our region stronger, smarter, and more connected to each other. Essential funds raised at the event directly support Crosscut’s in-depth journalism, elevating our public media as the public good that it is. For the 2017 awards, we will be honoring leaders who have reached across political, social, cultural or ideological lines to build bridges and common ground.
