Whole communites were decimated by the provisions to protect the spotted owl, but the barred owl is likely to get more sypathy.

Well considered and expressed, dbreneman. Mr.Borkowski, It stands to reason that as the government grows (and spends money it doesn't have) the powerful and well connected will always be pressing for--and obtaining--their advantage. The evidence is found in both parties. No?
