A Comely Lass Inverted

For you t'was just another journey home
Past places seen a thousand times before,
Back towards the Valley Maple and sweet Tom,
When suddenly your universe flipped o'er
And down you plungéd to ravine's dark floor.
Enwrapped in silence and the fertile earth,
Your SUV a haven safe no more,
You rested like a babe just ere its birth.
Was upside down the torture, or the dearth
You felt of rescuers, for days postponing?
You must have prayed to God for all your worth
That Tom would just show up and stop cell phoning.
How'ere for your rebirth and sweet up-bringing,
Praise not your God this time, but artful pinging.
