Burner leads right now, but the poll results aren't giving proportional results. Pierce County — Reichert country — has barely reported any results.

The polls currently show Democratic challenger Darcy Burner leading Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert in the 8th Congressional District 53 percent to 47 percent. But with only 17 percent of the vote counted, it's not even close to being over.

Thanks to Pierce County's newly installed Ranked Choice Voting system, it's likely we won't know the full results from the county until at least 3 a.m. The current results are mostly a reflection of the King County vote 'ꀔ which tends to favor Burner. Pierce County, on the other hand, is Reichert territory.

Bottom line: You may not know who wins this race (even if news networks call it tonight) until tomorrow morning.
