An advocacy group, holding its annual meeting in Seattle, will hear from the regular Crosscut contributor on Sunday (Nov. 7).

Health Care for All Washington, which advocates a single-payer system, will hold its annual meeting on Sunday (Nov. 7) in Seattle.

The featured speakers during the public session, which begins at 2 p.m., will be Mark Trahant, former editorial page editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and George W. Schneider, former president of the Washington State Medical Association. 

Trahant, who writes regularly for Crosscut and recently completed a Kaiser Media fellowship on health care issues, will talk about health care reform lessons from the Indian Health Service. Schneider will discuss what to expect from a well-designed single-payer system.
