As this week's mailing of ballots approached, the candidates for mayor were stepping up their campaigns, the fund raising and the expenditures. Here's a look at where they stand going into the final weeks before the Aug. 6 deadline for postmarking or returning the ballots.

Source: Campaign disclosure forms. All numbers based on reports through July 15. In some cases, candidates listed campaign liabilities, which are included in the expenditures here. Doug McQuaid, who joined the race at the deadline, does not have to file regular campaign reports.
