As the first vote counts are released tonight, these are the races to be watching.

The first returns in the 2013 election voting will be released shortly after the 8 p.m. closure of ballot dropoff boxes in King County. The Seattle mayor's race has received most of the attention but GMO labeling, a state Senate race on the Kitsap Peninsula and Seattle City Council voting all provide important decisions.
