How will the drought and low snow pack levels affect us here in Washington state?

We found out at Wednesday's Civic Cocktail, which featured a one-on-one with Gov. Jay Inslee about Arctic drilling and the Washington Legislature's second, special session. Next up was Seattle's favorite weather expert Cliff Mass who talked with Civic Cocktail host Joni Balter about climate change and whether we should worry about a drought in Washington.

If you were there, these video highlights will be a trip down memory lane. If you couldn’t make it, we forgive you. Either way, check out these moments from Civic Cocktail’s foray into climate change, the drought and the legislature. Watch the entire show at 8 p.m. on Cable Channel 21  Seattle Channel, or watch it online here.

Civic Cocktail is taking a break this summer. Not to worry, we'll be back with more great conversations in October!

Gov. Inslee discusses his stance on the Shell oil rigs mooring at the Port of Seattle and how to reduce demand for oil:

The governor on his meeting with Alaska governor Bill Walker about the impact of climate change on their respective states:

Gov. Inslee on building an oil refinery in Longview, WA, and why his job is different from a journalists because to be governor "you kind of have to know what you're doing first":

Cliff Mass on how some critters will have problems in a climate-changed world, but all in all, we'll get through this year okay waterwise:

Civic Cocktail is a joint venture of Crosscut, City Club and Seattle Channel.
