Election live blog: Dispatches from an upside-down evening

vote

Election Day is here! This year, Washington decides who will be governor, secretary of state, superintendent of schools and a whole lot more. The 7th Congressional district will choose a new representative. We'll say yay or nay on a carbon tax, a statewide minimum wage and a $54 billion investment in light rail and fast buses in the Puget Sound region.

We hear there are some interesting races on the national level as well. (Something about the White House?) But here at Crosscut, we'll keep a laser-like focus on the local, regional and statewide races. Keep it locked here throughout the day for a live blog of election-related happenings. This evening, we'll bring you up-to-the-minute results, reactions, analysis, scenes from the parties and more.

For the blow-by-blow news and commentary, follow Crosscut on Facebook and Twitter — and get the updates from around the region from our team of staff and freelance writers: David Kroman, our editorial team, Greg Hanscom, Joe Copeland and Drew Atkins, social media maestra Cambria Roth, Mossback columnist Knute Berger, intern Nick Turner, and freelancers Clayton AldernTed Alvarez, Mason BryanTom JamesSamantha Larson and Anna Minard.
