Brangien Davis is Crosscut’s arts & culture writer. She has been writing about the arts and pop culture for two decades, including for The Seattle Times, ReadyMade, Wired and Seattle magazine, where she was arts & culture editor for eight years. In addition, she has been a scholar-in-residence at Town Hall Seattle, founded the literary magazine Swivel, worked as an Amazon editorial manager and taught creative writing and journalism. Her essays have appeared in City Arts, Arcade and Ampersand.
