Hannah WeinbergerScience & Environment Reporter
Hannah Weinberger is Crosscut's science and environment staff reporter.
Previously on staff at the Wirecutter, Bicycling, and Outside, Hannah's coverage explores outdoor recreation and similar tension points between humans and the natural world. Passion for adventure and concern for wildlife together drive her to investigate both the consequences of human activity on the environment, and how people are working to save it: At Crosscut, she is able to highlight the interconnectedness of environmental issues and broader societal concerns in a meaningful way.
When not chasing down a lead, Hannah enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest on foot and by bike; taking photos; reading anything Mary Roach writes; badly drawing cartoons; and IDing wild plants and animals.
Hannah grew up in Cleveland, Ohio; and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 with a degree in Mandarin Chinese. Heckle her on Twitter (@weinbergrrrrr), or send her news tips at firstname.lastname@example.org.
