Mark Watanabe is Crosscut's former Copy Chief, a position in which he copy edited stories and text that appear on the Crosscut site and associated venues. He works to ensure Crosscut work conforms to style and meets journalistic standards. Before joining Crosscut, he worked at The Seattle Times, where he held several editing positions, including technology editor for nearly 20 years.
