Taylor McAvoy is a University of Washington Senior pursing a B.A in Journalism with a minor in Law, Societies, and Justice. She is currently a production intern with The Grind Podcast and a photographer for the campus newspaper, The Daily. She is also president of the UW chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. In the past she has written for the Opinion, Arts and Leisure, and News sections for The Daily. She has also been a freelance journalist with the International Examiner over the summer. Her work in and out of journalism classes has appeared in The Seattle Globalist, The Seattle Lesbian, The News Tribune, The Seattle Bike Blog, Real Change News and The Evergrey.
