Professor of Information and Computer Science at UW, Shah is also the founding director of the InfoSeeking Lab and founding co-director of the Center for Responsibility in AI Systems & Experiences (RAISE). His research focuses on AI-driven information access systems that are proactive and personalized, but also transparent, fair and free of biases.
