Halli Benasutti

PhD Candidate, University of Washington

The soon-to-be Dr. Benasutti is working on completing her biochemistry dissertation in the Chamberlain Lab at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on the development of gene therapies for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type R9. Halli’s interests outside of academia primarily revolve around outdoor adventure and exploration, to which the Pacific Northwest lends itself nicely.

The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival brings together journalists, newsmakers, and innovators from around the country to talk about the issues that are animating our cultural conversations. The festival includes live recordings of television and podcasts from The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, Pushkin, NPR and PBS; as well as community meetups, meet-and-greets, food trucks, DJs, and more.
