Julian Saucier spends his time supporting organizations and coalitions that affect people impacted by the Criminal justice system. Looking to reduce the pipeline to prison, improve conditions for those incarcerated, reduce barriers for those returning home. SURSA Committee as Person in Recovery from SUD who experienced criminal legal consequences impact by the criminal justice system, worked as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and Support Services Manager for RI International of Washington State, a non-profit, mental health crisis services firm empowering individuals in recovery. Yoga Behind Bars as Board Member, Board Chair and Executive Director. Prior to incarceration Julian had a 15 year I/T career that included 12 years at America West Airlines (now American Airlines), and then contract work with FTD, Chicago Public Schools and New York State Health and Human Services

Fentanyl’s Fatal Fallout

Seattle is in the midst of a fentanyl crisis, a drug 50 times more potent than heroin. Used with other drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine, it can be deadly even in small doses. In 2022 there were 310 overdose deaths in Seattle, more than half of those from fentanyl. We’re joined by experts on the front lines of this effort to hear what can be done to address this issue.
