Susan Matthews is Slate’s news director and the host of the upcoming seventh season of Slow Burn. Before joining Slate, she launched and edited Audubon.org. A graduate of Dartmouth College and NYU’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program, she lives in Brooklyn.
