KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Email Marketing

  1. Develop a cohesive email customer journey, keeping content, marketing and fundraising needs in mind, with the ultimate goal of donation conversion
  2. Use automation to trigger customer journey and event-based sends
  3. Administer the organization-wide email marketing calendar, escalate scheduling conflicts as necessary
  4. Create and optimize email templates through Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  5. Regularly benchmark email performance through A/B testing, conversion, engagement and retention rate
  6. Troubleshoot email campaign issues and manage list hygiene
  7. Actively work to grow email database through paid and organic campaigns
  8. Optimize existing email products and make recommendations for improvements
  9. Be the organizational expert in email best practices and stay current with trends and innovations
  10. Collaborate with Fundraising Marketing Administrator to align overall email strategy with membership goals

II. Digital Marketing

  1. Support Marketing Manager on digital marketing channels including Google Ads and Quantcast
  2. Assist with new digital marketing initiatives as opportunities arise, taking ownership of additional channels over time
  3. Coordinate with the Data and Analytics team for reporting
  4. Take on other tasks as needed to support organizational goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, etc. required
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing an enterprise level email marketing program required
  3. Marketing automation experience
  4. Previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud strongly preferred
  5. Deep understanding of email success metrics, analytics and reporting
  6. Strong writing and editing skills with ability to proofread content

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  2. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  3. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
