Are you wondering what time Barack Obama will address the world from Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver on Thursday? Me, too. The Democratic National Committee hasn't disclosed the exact time Obama will take the stage with former Vice President Al Gore, but the coverage starts at 4 p.m. Seattle time. As for the rest of the week, here's a glimpse of what's happening and where to watch the action.
There are several local blogs reporting live from the convention. David Goldstein and the guys at Horse's Ass are Washington state's officially credentialed bloggers, and they'll have full access to the convention floor, while reporters from The Stranger and NW Progressive are also blogging from the Pepsi Center. The Washington State Democratic delegation is blogging about participating in the convention, as well.
BlueOregon.com is Oregon's officially credentialed blog at the DNC, but it's also worth checking The Oregonian's convention blog, seeing as the paper has sent several reporters to Denver for the event. As for Idaho, here's a list of convention bloggers from the Spud State, courtesy of Red State Rebels.
If you want moving pictures, the cable news channels are your best bet, with CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News providing round-the-clock coverage. The broadcast news networks — ABC, CBS, and NBC — will also have primetime coverage starting at 7 p.m. PST through Thursday.
Here's a fairly comprehensive convention schedule via The Seattle Times.
