Celebrated scholar and filmmaker of the African American experience, Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr., speaks Sept. 7, 7:30 PM at Town Hall at an event to benefit the housing justice work of Homestead Community Land Trust. Dr. Gates will be interviewed by Vivian Phillips on the rise and fall of Reconstruction, and how the aftermath affects housing opportunities in our communities to this day.
