Town Hall (Eighth and Seneca on Seattle's First Hill) is hosting an Election Night Special, starting at 5:30 p.m. and running to 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, election night. Crosscut is one of the sponsors for the free event, along with the Town Hall Center for Civic Life and The Seattle Channel. We hope you'll come by and have fun and meet some Crosscut political writers.
On the panel of pundits at 6 p.m. will be Knute Berger, Crosscut mainstay, as well as Crosscut contributor C.R. Douglas of the Seattle Channel (moderator). They'll be joined by Cathy Allen, a Democratic consultant, and Joni Balter of The Seattle Times editorial page. I'll also be at the party, along with Ted Van Dyk, our expert on national races (leaving early), and Clark Fredericksen, who's been running Crosscut's "Sausage Links" during the election and will be blogging live from the event. Please seek us out and introduce yourself.
The event will also feature a returns-viewing party, emceed by Fred Northup, sprinkled with political trivia and prizes. The Seattle Channel will have an "Election Confessional," where you are invited to talk on camera about the issues that motivated your vote. Again, the event (and the peanuts) are free, but Town Hall asks you to register beforehand at www.brownpapertickets.com. (No calls, please.) Refreshments can be purchased at the event.
